2007 - The First part of the Year

On January 30, 2007 Anna Rebekah Huizenga was born to Aaron & Alysa - the 2nd Huizenga baby in a year! Here are all of the Huizenga grandkids to date!

On January 10, I officially started a 6 1/2 week time period of being on bed rest. It is strange thinking about it now as I look at Rachel as a 2 year old in August 2009. But in January of 2007, I started to have some complications that led to bed rest. What a time of trying not to worry and truly leave it in God's hands! Wow how he provided. My memories are that the experience was not too bad - John, well his opinion is a little different. I wonder why? Oh yeah, he had to do all the work!


On January 4, 2007 began the year of Huizenga babies! Molly Kay Huizenga was born to Joel & Carmen. She is the 3rd of 3 girls. How little and cute she is!

Allie's 3rd birthday (technically she turned 3 on Dec 31st, 2006)! At this point, I am in my first trimester and looking and feeling so fine.

2006 - Review

Since I am working on this in 2009, I am just putting up a few pics for 2006. No kids yet, but the first year of our marriage! In looking back, what a learning year for us.

John and I ran a half-marathon together for the first time! This was the start of John's love of running. Who would have ever thought??

When Evan and Hannah and their families came in for a visit, we celebrated their first birthdays! They are only 3 weeks apart in age!

One big event for us in 2006, we bought a home! Welcome to Bourbonnais!!



Another big event for us in 2006 was our first anniversary. We celebrated by taking a little vacation. First we went to Syracuse to visit Leah's sister Sarah and her family (husband Pat and daughter Hannah). Then we stopped in Niagara Falls on our way to Goderich, Canada. We stayed there for a couple of nights just walking around and visiting a cute little town! After that we headed to Muskegon, Michigan to visit Leah's brother Aaron and his family (wife Alysa and son Evan). It was a great trip. In fact, we didn't realize how great is was until a month later when we found out we were . . .
